Team-X-Bots introduces Speed Bump XL (a.k.a. Buzz for Robot Wars) Our Middleweight is called Speed Bump XL. He made it to the November, 2001 Battlebots but because of problems he was not able to compete.

For use in Robot Wars we added extra batteries and nose guards to increase the weight and it weighed in at 153 lbs.

For the May, 2002 Battle Bots competition Speed Bump XL took on a new look. The Hard top was replaced with high-density plastic to save weight.

The hardest part was getting both the lifting arm and the drum on it and still remain within the weight category. In the future it will only have a lifting arm.
